Hey Gerry!

You're among friends here--and some I'm pretty sure you know. Barry Kifer (NJ--from GNISSC) and Tom Childers (CARISSMA) are PPV owners, too!

Gerry, great to have you on board. We have met before. I was a member of Tidewater Sports Car Club for years before moving to NC in 2000. I know a number of the B-Body owners in Tidewater, close friends with Bart Powell who got me interested in the B-Bodies years ago. We may do the Wild Wheels Cruising Weekend again this year in Va Beach.

Welcome Gerry! I was a Norfolk resident for a few years myself and had a B-body for 5 years or so. Feel free to comment any time, maybe we'll convince you to join the Royal Order of the Caprice one of these days :)

Take care

Hi,

I'm Bob.

I've owned my Heron White 9C1 for just over a year, now.

I saw it on Ebay (it did not sell).

I contacted the seller, we made a deal, and I bought the car.

1471 miles were on it, then. I have about 5300 on it, now.

Two years ago, GM was using it on their Milford proving grounds:

Now, it's my daily driver:

From the rubber floor to the ticket and spot lights, I like the utilitarian style of this 9C1 Caprice PPV.

I like this car.

Hi Bob!

Welcome to the system! We've got a bunch of fellow car owners on the forums and some good resources here for you to take advantage of as well. The group is small but growing. Good looking car BTW!!

Hey Bob--what part of CA, if you don't mind disclosing? I bet yours clears traffic lanes quite well, with the small hubcaps/black wheels and the spotlight.

Our PPV is already at 5300 miles--purchased in Nov 2012, originally with 23 miles on it. You aren't having much fun with it, sitting that much, but gas is pricier out there, so I guess it's understandable.....or you've got a really short commute.

We've got another PPV owner up in the Sacramento area, looking for more!

Welcome Bob. I almost wish I had your commute. I purchased my PPV 2 months ago and have close to 4000 miles on it already. I have 2 9C1s, a 93 and a 95, both white. My wife had told me no more white cars so I found an Alto Gray 9C3. You are correct that cup holders are overrated.

Good Afternoon, All! Very first time posting anything to any message board, so bear with me as I get used to the social "technology". I purchased a 2011 Phantom Black 9C3 back in October 2012. Dealer "sold' it to local law enforcement for 6 days so that they could sell it "used". Bought it with 1,400 miles, still have less than 3,000 miles on it. Still own a '98 B4C Camaro and I have owned a 92 LX Special Service Mustang 5.0 five speed. The Mustang and Camaro were both modified heavily. I lean towards better performance, braking and safety features. The Camaro has a 4 point roll bar, 4 piston Alcons on 13.5" rotors, etc... I have tried to keep all of my cars somewhat stock looking. My other vehicles could be termed "sleepers". One of them is a G series 1984 Pontiac Bonneville with a SBC 350, 4L80e, 87 Grand National 8.5" rear end, Hotchkis springs and bigger brakes. The Camaro, Bonneville and Mustang have been on the Hot Rod Power tour at one time or another since 1999.
