Well being new to the PPV world, how do you tell the difference between the 9C1 and the 9C3? And, I wished I knew to ask this question before now...eagle-co94 wrote:With only 120 miles on the car I'd say go get it and drive it back! Nothing like a hard break-in to get to know the car! I bought a '12 Charger Pursuit out of Oklahoma and flew out and drove it back. I really got to know the car and had a fun time.
I've been on the ISSF since 2001, shortly after getting my first 9C1. That's long gone but I've still got my '96 SS I picked up in 2004. Welcome to the group!
Do you know if your car is a 9C3 or 9C1?

Re: Caprice PPV Coming to West Virginia
Basically the 9C3 has a more Civilian Center console and carpet and cloth rear seat. Eveything else is the same. You most likely have a 9C1 because I have never seen a 2013 9C3. 11 and 12 only. They theoretically make them just do not think any agency has ever ordered one in the 2013 model year.jpalmer wrote: Well being new to the PPV world, how do you tell the difference between the 9C1 and the 9C3? Re: Caprice PPV Coming to West Virginia
I was thinking they went to the side of the column type shifter in 2013. I think the 9C3 was available only in 11 and 12, but I could be wrong. Glad I have one.

Re: Caprice PPV Coming to West Virginia
The vehicle I purchased has a center console of a metal plate with slots for attaching various pieces of equipment. Mine has a shifter mounted on the console upper left corner next to the driver's right knee, and there is also a box that has 2 cup holders and what looks like 3 knobs for opening a secure compartment of some kind. No carpet just a plain black-mat looking floor. It has the 18" black steel wheels w/ holes and the small center wheel cover.
It also has the spot light still installed and there is a light bar, cables, and some other stuff in the trunk all part of the deal.
I considered a gold color Caprice w/ carpet and a civilian looking console. The shifter was mounted in the center of the console which looked to be covered w/ upholstery and appeared to have the normal D and O but then you could pull it back and to the right for going through the rest of the gears...I'm guessing here. Unfortunately it had 101,000 miles on it and I was a bit nervous about that deal.
So from what I am reading from you guy's posts I seem to have a 9C1. That's a good thing....right?

Re: Caprice PPV Coming to West Virginia
Jeff, you have a 9C1. You can find out a lot if you look through the files. Lots of good info there. http://newcaprice.com/files.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'd rather have a 9C3, but it's not a big deal to me. I have a 9C1.

Re: Caprice PPV Coming to West Virginia
Pursuit - thanks for the welcome! I am looking forward to digging into the nuts and bolts of this car.
Sparks - I liked the better shifter/console combo of the 9C3, but I am good with the 9C1 too.

Re: Caprice PPV Coming to West Virginia
Well C3 seems like better choice just because of the center console, but I got C1 because i just couldn't pass by one in perfect condition.
