My wife's DD is a 2010 Tahoe PPV. She loves it. Runs great, handles well. All we've doe to it so far is an Air Raid MIT, and tune. Next up is a 2/3 drop, and sway bars.offutt0311 wrote:

It's just the difference in specification. The 2WD Tahoe is the Police Patrol Vehicle, and the 4WD Tahoe is the Special Service Vehicle.
The SSV has a bit more ground clearance, and I think a bit better gearing. It's not made for high-speed pursuit like the PPV, but has off-road capabilities that the PPV does not. Other than that, they should be pretty similar.

Well I found an '07 Tahoe SSV with 63,xxx miles for $14,500. I'm trying to hurry up an get my Caprice here so I can put a deposit on the SSV and sell the wife's 2012 Avenger. On a good note, the Caprice is supposed to be picked up tonight and delivered here tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
