Spoiler addition
Re: Spoiler addition
Initial mock up looked good, it followed the body line pretty well. After I got home I found out it was going to sit about a half inch too low, so I will be looking for some type of spacer or bondoing the bottom to fill it in before I take it to get painted. Can't add pictures for some reason.
Re: Spoiler addition
Bondo to fill in the quite large gap..

Re: Spoiler addition
If anybody needs the info, being an owner of a Criswell car... I may be able to help. The Criswell cars used the G8 spoiler--it DOES work, and sits more on the top of the deck lid compared to the Holden Caprice part.
It requires drilling the holes in the trunk lid for the bolts, body plugs, and paint. That's about it. Outside hole was made based on the template. Inside hole (in the inner layer of sheet metal) was made with what appeared to be a step drill bit (Harbor Freight sells them) to get the hole bigger to fit the bolt head through and finish it with a body plug. Fit and contour is perfect.
I can supply pictures if needed.
Good luck with the GTO spoiler. Looks like it's coming along.

Tom,
I'd like to see the pictures, please. Too bad we don't know if the SS spoiler will fit, there's two (possibly both in PBM) on the SS forum for sale.

Re: Spoiler addition
OK folks, the WM Caprice spoilers are now available in the group purchase section at $270 each shipped. This is a very good price compared to earlier purchases, thanks to Karo for making these available! This spoiler was made for our cars and it's unpainted, ready to be painted to your color & mounted to your car.

Re: Spoiler addition
Does the G8 spoiler look and different than the spoilers being sold in the group buy ? Could you put up a pic ?storm9c1 wrote:If anybody needs the info, being an owner of a Criswell car...
