Rear quarter window trim source
Re: Rear quarter window trim source
My 2011's trim was loose so I drove it to the dealer and showed them. I then pulled it off so I didn't fly off while driving the car after they agreed to replace the windows under warranty. What's odd is that the dealer hires a glass company to bolt the new windows in so if there's a problem with the install, like a leak, the dealer is not liable. That is amazing to me since the window is a simple install. They're held in with four nuts and no adhesive or sealer is used. There's a foam gasket glued to the window that seals the window to the car. Nothing could possible go wrong. I explained it to the dealer, but they didn't want to hear it. Because they hire a glass company to do the installation, I have the leave the car at the dealer for an entire day for literally 5 minutes worth of work (I already took the interior apart to make it easy for them). I wish they would just give me the windows so I could put them in.

Mine hasn't fallen off yet, but I do check on it. My car isn't exposed to any weather except for warm sunny days.leadfart wrote:Every 2011 I encountered had them fall off. YMMV

Re: Rear quarter window trim source
Both sides on my 2011 were quite loose and a slight tug poped them right off
I'd think good prep work and some urethane adhesive would secure them back on for good.
