Paint codes? Where are they?

Okay, since 'paint' and 'code' are too 'common' a term to use to search this forum, and I don't find it on a regular VIN plate on the firewall, I gotta ask, where do you find the paint code on the vehicle? Our '12 is black, and I'm figuring it's Phantom Black Metallic, but would like to get the code, so when I take the spoiler and fender inserts to get painted. Thanks.

Or call a Chevy dealer parts department and give them the last 8 of your vin.
