Dome console

I'm trying to get the interior roof console off to plug in the front dome light. I absolutely can't take it off. I was able to get inside the roof by taking down the auxiliary dome light but the factory console just won't budge and it seems impossible to take out the middle part with notches inside the sunglasses holder.

Can anyone help me out how to take it apart without doing any damage?

I mention in there how to remove it. Basically do not pull near the sunglass holder. Rather pull down from the light area. the 4 clips hold it in.
