Factory Floor Mat Retainer

Post by smwalker »

My Nieces Saturn Astra ( that is a re-badged Opel) was missing a floor mat retainer. I though huh these look familiar. Went and got my Caprice mat and it fit perfectly. So went to look for a replacement. Could not find them separately for the Caprice. Guess you have to buy the entire mat to get a replacement.

Saw a number on the bottom if it and punched that in. Seems it is a good GM number for the Opel Astras. Best seller seems to be in Latvia with super cheap shipping.

Search for part number 13142011 at the following store:

Enpeautooemclips Store

Mine were looking a bit scratched up int he caprice so got a second set for myself:

IF you are missing the carpet "peg" part there is an updated version the G8 had to have replaced a lot that is GM part number 19167707 but I am unclear from the G8 boards if that comes with a floor mat button or just the peg.

I then see the Cadillac Guys are using this peg part for their trunk carpets and they have a corresponding part number for the mat part of 19167704 - So that actually maybe a good GM part for a replacement. Not sure though Have not tried that one.

So not to clear on whats what but I got a good supply from Latvia!!

In cars with carpet they hold down the front floor mats so they don't creep up.

It's a mystery why my 9C3 has the mats with these in them but not the posts in the carpet to snap them onto. I wish they did. My mat moves quite a bit.
