I have a couple of 2014 caprices and a 2012, I want to sacrifice the 12 for parts for the other 2 ...one 14 had a front end mishap and the other had a run in with an angry mob ....I want to break down the 12 put front clip on one of 14's and doors front and rear glass on the other 2014 ....everything "looks" like it would be the same yet junkyard parts interchanges don't agree ? The front clips apparently swap according to parts interchanges but windshield, rear glass and doors do not? I don't care about wires and minor details, that's easily rectified since I have a couple of cars to pull from. GM part #'s are different for glass but darn if the cars don't look the same? I thought maybe the 14's had head up option so the glass might be different but they sure look the same. Anyone ACTUALLY swapped across 2012 to 14 ?

well since we have a batch of cars and stuff i guess I will just have to take a door and start installing it until something makes us stop? Now the glass is another story since that could get expensive having the glass guy coming around a few times ....Might just slice out the rear myself since those are pretty stable (until they're not) and see what the different is ? It could be something as dumb as a defrost plug or as insane as defrost resistance ? I will say this, I had a 2002 or 3 Impala that was "California emissions" and of course it needed a converter ....49 states $150. Ca. $400 ? or 800 ? I can't remember but I think it was 800 cuz I bought the car for 850 and was angry about the Ca. convert costing as much as the whole car ....ANYWAY, asking around NO ONE knew what they were talking about or had actual experience with putting a reg. converter on a Ca. car ...since I'm not in Ca. what do I care as long as I pass MY states pipe test ....and course "know it all's" said "NOPE, it will blow a code " no it won't work ..bla bla bla. Guess what, worked no problem NO CODES!! passed emissions!!

Someone asked about a door recently and when I looked it up the front doors were the same from G8 to 2013 Caprice. They changed in 2014. I attributed that to the different door handle design. So I bet the actual door would still fit you would just have to use the newer style door handle (exterior) and I bet none of the interior door panel mounting points would line up so probably have to use 2014 door panels. That could get weird with wiring and what not.

EDIT ; and also since the door panels mesh in with the dash swapping from WM to WN would be out of the question.

WOW, don' t do it  ...they're wildly different !! I'm in too deep now to turn back but its handle, locking rod, wiring, panel pins/screws, inner structure ....off the top that I see at the moment. I don't know if I'll be successful yet I have to get the 14 next to the 12 and see if I can make the necessary adjustments Trunks are different too !!
