Too cheap for an ss plus, I can’t leave anything alone.

So, I’ve owned my ‘14 Caprice for a couple months now. I’ve slowly started deciding on what I want to do and a late night eBay search, I found a console and shifter from a 2015 SS. At this point, I’m attempting to figure out if the connectors on both shifters are the same. I don’t mind extending the harness, I just want to verify before I tear apart my daily driver. Lol

I did the SS dash, console, shifter & steering wheel swap on my 2016 and to go from the column shift to the floor shift, there is additional wiring. I don't have the schematics in front of my at the moment but,the column shifter only has 4 wires going to two connectors for the shift lock solenoid and gear indicator. The SS floor shifter has a 6 pin connector with the following: Rap Relay Control, LIN network, Tap Shift, Gear Shift Indicator, Shift Lock, & Ground. I made a new harness and connected it at the x209 main body harness connector in the passenger kick & added the missing pins to the bcm. With with the factory Caprice Cluster, the gear indicator will show what gear the floor shifter is in.

You will also need a couple parts to replace the shift cable with the ss shift rod:
GM part # 92259754 - Rod
GM part # 92191383 - Shifter Trunnion
GM part # 92191384 - Shifter Bushing
GM part # 92139143 - Lift Cylinder Bolt

Still need to send Chris my BCM and SS cluster to get programmed for the shifter tap shift/steering wheel paddle shifters, but he is swamped right now.

I actually decided to go ahead and install the shifter today, everything went smoothly and a 52mm gauge will fit where the column shifter hole is. I have yet to extend the harness or anything of the sort.

I’ll be certain to adjust in the future, Maurice. I don’t have much for questions off hand. I’m sure that’ll change as I dig deeper.

RM96, did you ever get your paddle shifters to function? What was entailed?
