Hi everyone,
So I’ve seen that people are swapping the SS dash into the 14+ Caprice, but is it possible to just swap over the main “pretty” Suede dash trim pieces from the SS?
Seems like it would save lots of effort vs swapping the whole dash.
To be honest, even though the dash that these parts mount to are different part numbers, I think GM’s supplier would use the same tool and only modify the lower area for the center console.
In the below diagrams I mean 5-10 on the SS swapping in place of 2-6 in the Caprice.
Obviously I know the push button vs shifter part is different and would require modification, but what about the others.
Anyone done this?

Re: SS Dash Trim on Caprice
the dashes are the same , other than the shifter pod(caprice)-push button starter(ss) and the console ears being cut off on the caprice , and the SS has the hud hole
Re: SS Dash Trim on Caprice
The only reason people do the entire dash cover is so it meets up nice with a SS center console. The suede bits are just a side upgrade. But you you could swap if you want, but if you still got your column shift the starter button piece wont go in thier
