Appearance upgrades coming together

Post by keherrington »

Got the mud flaps and V8 emblems from Crazy Paul in record time. Installed the front flaps and the emblems. See below.

The instructions for the front flaps were spot on. However, the rears are a bit different. My fender skirt is attached with screws and not the push pins. Who here has mounted the rear mud flaps and what adjustments to the instructions did you need to make?

I have also mounted the front and rear mud flaps. The only thing that was different on the rear was to use the factory screw at the uppermost attachment point. Just unscrewed it and hung the mudflap. Followed the rest of the instructions as-is.

Looks good. I wish I could put those on my car to keep the brake dust off the car. But my car is lowered and it would scrap the massive speed bumps in my neighborhood.

Here are the latest exterior upgrades to make the car look only a bit more "civilian". The exhaust tips are GM # 19165195, where I used a polished clamp rather than the one that came with the tips.

The "PURSUIT" badge was courtesy of eBay (thank you Pursuit) and cost only $9.95. While the same size as the Caprice badge, it is not all one piece. Had to be extra careful on installation.

With the window tinting, V8 badges and the front mud flaps, I think I'm done...at least for now.

Keith,
You are welcome! But, I owe the "PURSUIT" letter idea to L77. They have created more conversation than anything else I have done.
