Just had the windshield in my newly purchased Caprice replaced by Safelite this morning.
They used Pilkington glass, which looks to have the same solar reflective and noise reducing markings as the Saint Gobain glass that came out.
Installer said he did a bunch of them after the Baltimore riots last year. Took him about 45 minutes. Total cost out of pocket (installed, with them coming to me) was $401.
Sounds just as quiet as the S.G. glass.
Oh, and mine was not replaced for delamination. It had a nice star in the middle of the wiper sweep, which was beginning to spiderweb.
