Accessory wiring harnesses

Post by PPV »

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the accessory harness? I may want to utilize the second battery to power other accessories like an amp.....

If your car actually has the auxiliary battery, then connect your AMP to the large gauge red wire that terminates in the blue 2 pin connector. That is the power feed from the aux battery if equipped. If not equipped, it will connect to the primary battery. Or if more convenient, connect your amp to the upfit terminal block near the aux battery in the trunk and fuse appropriately.

I need a +12 from the battery (on all the time) and a +12 Run (when car is in run position). Can I get it from these cables coiled up under the dash? I'm not getting much from the diagrams without knowing where the components are. Is there a better location under the dash I can get the 2 power sources? Amperage should be low. It's only for a dashcam.

I realize this is a major thread resurrection. But, did you end up using one of the wires to hardwire your dash cam? Which one did you choose? Did you just tap into it, or remove the socket?
