2013 PPV Radio - have rear speakers that work,but....

Post by jpalmer »

Hi Everyone!
So I have a 2013 PPV with rear speakers, and they work if I fade to the rear and turn it up loud but it is very low.

I have also read the threads on this subject and so far all I have seen as a remedy is to purchase new speakers and mount them lower in the panel on the outside. Or, find some panels that can be retro fitted.

Are these the only options?

Could adding an amplifier add enough sound to hear them through the panel without the opening?
Thanks
Jeff

Think adding any power would blow them out. Factory stuff is not exactly high performance.

YOu could get creative by adding a grille into the existing panel. Maybe even incorporate it into some other upolstery on the rest of the panel. Got a blank canvas in front of you.

I thought about just drilling holes in the panel in a circle, but that might look too cheezy.

I guess the aftermarket speakers lower in the panel is probably the way to go, besides creativity ain't my strong suit.

Too Bad, Check out this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2Xp6m_bU2c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He is doing them on a flat surface so a bit easier. THink yours would be curved and compounded.
