Silver box

Post by Car54 »

Hey all,

? Can you drive your car without the silver box?

I know the radio won’t work but will everything else function? Climate control ?

Removal I would assume is taking the radio out of the car, and accessing the box behind it?

I have a bit of time in the next day or two to take it out and then send it out to Chris White.

Appreciate the feedback as always.

I believe you can. I've not done it but have heard others on this forum say "to set your hvac where you can deal with it while radio is out".

Thanks guys,

Have to check with Chris to see what his turnaround is after he gets it.

Being down that long… with drawl… But it will be worth it.

You can do what I did and purchase another silverbox so you're not without your radio. Lucky for you I still have the extra silverbox. I can ship it directly to WAM.

Thanks all, yeah Chris is shut down waiting on parts to arrive. Sigh… It’s on my to do list, but I just changed my oil and tire rotation brake check. The front forward control arms on both sides are shot. The grease is none existent boots are torn and partially missing and that needs attention 1st.

I’ll keep checking with Chris to see when he is back
Up and running.

No problem or I can ship it to you so have it ready once Chris is back to working on them. No pressure of course.
