I'm not in Poway at the moment, but I'll be back--there are several PPV owners in SoCal, so it would be worth the effort to plan a get-together some day. My PPV is actually in GA, and I don't know if it will ever make a trip to CA, but I'd be happy to do something like this eventually, as there quite a few things going on amongst the owners, and quite a bit of creativity and knowledge in SoCal, based on what I've seen here.

Thanks,
Yes they are. I recently did this very thing on my 2014 PPV. I bought everything from Paul except the actual lamps which I got at my local GM dealer.

Here you go...

Pictures of my car.

There are 9 or so pics in all but the 5th one probably shows what you are looking for. I wouldn't bother looking at Ebay for them, just order them from Paul and tell him you want the base black ones. He knows what you need.

Got my black Holden fog light trim pieces.... very easy to install once you drop the giant splash shield which is coming off the back of the front bumper and attaches to the wheel well liners and the front K member.... mix of giant and small bolts plus torx fasters in the wells, what a PIA! once thats out you just pull on locking tabs to remove the stock front trim parts then you are left with this opening which has the holes for the actual lamps to bolt onto...

Then I used to 2 10mm bolts and nuts to install the lamp onto the bumper...

I used generic lamps from ebay, quality seems fine, has the factory type adjuster bolt, did come with a weird light which was listed as 42W? I had another set of 65W bulbs from another car laying in my drawer so a quick snip on the one locating tab and they drop right into place. Note these do not have a front cover so they may put out more light than you want but i'm giving it a try... Also I'm not using the factory wiring for these I bought a aftermarket HD light harness which I'm trying to install using a G8 OEM switch, if you use the factory wiring I'd stay with the bulbs they recommend. Here's the bulb cut I had to do...

Here's the harness I bought
http://www.ebay.com/itm/131231930699?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Attached to back of lamp then runs up along the bottom of radiator the up side of radiator towards the fuse box on passenger side. Still have to run a ground wire into the cab to be activated by the G8 OEM light switch and I want to hook up the positive relay trigger to a run only hot which I don't have yet.

I've attached the harness larger gauge wire to the factory fuse panel hot post here. Still working on how to get the negative switched setup it requires to work with the G8 OEM headlight control.

I took my headlight switch out of the car and looked at the connector.
Both the Caprice switch and the G8 switch have the same amount of pins.
On the Caprice switch the upper left pin is not used.
Testing the G8 switch that pin works.
The Caprice connector doesn't have a wire going to that pin.

Does anyone know how to add a wire and to a connector.
I might be able to take the connector apart enough to add the pin on the connector if I can find a pin to put in there.
I think I'm just going to use a universal fog light harness with the relay and fuse in it.
Better late than never but did some looking up on this tonight and came up with part number 173681-2 as the connector needed to add a trigger wire. That part number comes up as manufactured by TE but the GM trays the replacements come in list all the parts in tray 17 as "Lear" but I cannot find any part number like that for Lear so I beleive the TE one's look right. Not sure though. They are on back order with Mouser so let me be the guinee pig on these. I will pull my headlight switch tonight and see it the terminals are similar to the drawings at mouser.

Luckily Mouser has then in small quantities - Link Here

I plan to order about 10 of them for projects I am working on let me know if you want one for your G8 switch and I can send you a single.

Follow up on this. Inspected the connector in the back of the headlight switch and the TE 173681-2 looks like a real good match. Problem came up when trying to order them. Mouser shows a 22 week back order, and the only place the has them in stock apparently Link Here has a $50 minimum order.

Talking with xcidmigs though he says when he got his headlight switch he got the plug and some harness with it. So if you are getting a G8 switch from a wrecking yard ask them to cut off some of the harness so you can use one of the 8 or so terminals and wires in there to fill in the empty spot on the caprice connector an just use a butt connector to make your wire longer.

xcidmigs you mention in your PM you were looking for under-hood connections??? which ones specifically?
