Me dumb, now stuff no worky

Post by 9C1 »

So I ripped my aux battery out a couple days ago and took no note of how it was all wired up (cause im dumb), then the main jumper wire from the main battery hit the tray and shorted because I failed to disconnect the main battery ( cause im dumb) and now I dont have key fob, instrument cluster backlights, radio, or hvac. I checked the fuse in the trunk fuse panel that corresponds to all that stuff but it is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Think you have to look on the top of the battery cable there are a few high amp fuses in there. Not sure on the procedure for replacing them or if you just get a whole new cable/terminal assembly.

Yea, I found it. It was a blown fuse coming off of the main battery for the aux cable in that fuse block/junction/splitter thing. Thank you

Is it replaceable separately, or is a new cable assembly required? Inquiring minds, and all that. ;)

Yea I mean not like any of us would ever work on stuff without removing the negative battery cable first. I mean come on. But yea would be good to know what to replace. For a friend.
