HP tuner who is using?

Post by Groundczero »

Hi, I am about the start messing around with HP tuner on the caprice.

I was wondering who else is using it and if maybe we should make a repository of our tunes? I am looking to start to firm up the shift since the 6l80 can shift pretty slow. Also I am noticing a new option a 3rd area to tune FSCM, not sure if I need that it looks like either boost or something with fuel pressure. I am looking to go LSA or turbo in the future so debating just paying the credits now.

I have HP tuners. So far, on my caprice, have only used it to adjust shift points after my rear end swap. I have used HP on my other cars and the caprice tables are definitely different from what I am used to in my 02 Camaro SS. If a repository is created I could add what I have.

I tried attaching HPT file and could not.
I will email you my tune if you'd like. I have LS3 CAM DOD Delete but you can copy only the trans tables.

Yeah that would be awesome, are you guys messing with the FSCM or just the engine and transmission?

I have no reason to buy extra credits for the fuel pump.

Yeah, you don't need to do anything with FSCM.

Do either of you have stock tune files for a 2013?

I'm getting one soon (HP Tuner). I'll need to do the differential ratio change and DOD delete right away but I'd love to get into the AFR tables and such.

I have watched videos from Goat Rope Garage on YouTube which I think are very good. The more I learn about tuning, the more I think I should get educated on my own. Taking your car to a guy with a dyno might get you a good quarter mile time but how about drivability? I know a couple of people who have been very unhappy with the tunes from a "professional".

Check here:

The search function is a little finicky but works well. I also suspect the calibrations will be similar and interchangeable with minor tweaks and customization between 11-14 ( :?: )
