2014 Radio Volume

Post by VintageIron41 »

Hello and thanks for taking time to read this.

Is there a way to boost the volume on the stereo system? I'm not deaf, ( yet ) but all the way cranked up, it's not very powerful, sometimes on a road trip ya just want to rock a bit lol.

Thanks!

Fix the rear door speakers. You’re currently only using the fronts (the rear work but there aren’t speaker grills.

I just pulled mine and put speakers in the lower part of the door panel. Sounds great and plenty loud.

Thanks for your reply's, considering the number of speakers and placement, mine at maximum volume seems subdued. Just wondering if this was a police setting that could be over ridden.

there is 4 speakers in the front , the 6.5's in the doors and tweeters in the A-pillars

and 2 hidden 6.5s in the rear doors

my car was never in service , but a friend of mine had a 14 that was in service , and his sounded like mine , and his car even had the ballistic doors

Thank you all for your reply's, yes indeed the speakers are covered by the door panels in my car. Now may I ask, what is the consensus on the best method to remove the door material to the right size, and, having done so, cover the opening?

Thank you!

This is what I did, I used generic speaker grilles from Amazon and a 3 1/2" hole saw.

Other people either buy the 11-12 door panels but they only work for 11-13, or they relocated the speaker to the bottom of the door.
