Hey Paul,

Are you able to purchase factory service manuals for the Holden Caprice V Series? Say 2011(just about everyone else) or 2012 (my preference, and a couple of others)???

Thanks!
Tom Slick

Hi Tom,
I haven't seen any available Service Manuals for about 10 years.

You should find what you're looking for on the Global SI

Paul,

Can you get the USB and or Aux-in ports and/or harnesses?

Another question, would you be able to get a factory replacement Holden IQ unit?

Thanks,
Tom Slick

You know you can get the Helm manuals for the Caprice PPV right? But I assume you want the Caprice V for the extra goodies?

Something else I noticed in the Helm manuals -- I see many references to schematics and diagrams to pages that don't exist, like 11-157, yet chapter 11 only goes to page 11-86 (or something like that). Any idea where I can get the rest of the pages?!? I wonder if there is a 4th book? Many of the important schematics and connector locations are called out but missing in the standard 3-book Helm set.

a) If I can identify the Part numbers from somewhere then yes.
b) There's more than one IQ unit and more than one faceplate and plenty of different trim options to suit an entire range of VE Series2 cars. Identifying exactly which IQ unit and then which version of parts you need is the difficult part. Then it's a big gamble if any of it can be made to work in a stripped down Caprice in PPV format. Again if I can identify all the Part numbers then yes it's all available.
c) I have something very interesting arriving next week. I'll contact you via e-mail when it arrives and show you pics.

Hehe, well when I spend $250+ for a set of printed books directly from Helm, I expect them to be complete. Never had this problem with B-Body manuals (though they did contain plenty of typos which were mostly corrected in the supplement book). Printed books last forever. Online accounts do not.

a.) Cool... will see what I can find...
b.) I'd be looking for one with everything except Navigation and the hard drive... The part #'s here for the radio are: 1st design - 92262691(dealership) or 92255301(online) (all 2011 and early 2012, including mine); 2nd design - 92265524 (dealership). Honestly, I would rather just get mine fully enabled! :-)
c.) Sounds interesting!!! :-)
