WAMS is proud to announce immediate availability of our 2014+ PPV Global A Radio Unlock service!

Thanks to our very own Garner Ames for getting one of these in our hands finally we were able to accomplish the following:

1. Remove the motion locks from 99.9% of the features (Text may or may not depending on the build be unlocked for in motion use)
2. Add XM Radio!
3. Add XM Travel link!
4. Add a picture viewer
5. Add support for secondary audio aux input (stereo headphone jack type) these show it was supported prior but looks like it was off in the firmware so fixed that.
6. Add backup Camera support
7. Add an optional hybrid OS for the 2014's that adds not only stability but the backup camera guidelines

We also have the following options:
-Conversion to many different types of startup logos and themes IE Holden/HSV, Export Chevrolet theme etc.
-Ability to add navigation! If you want to purchase a navigation silver box we now have the ability to custom build the proper calibrations to make everything functional in a PPV as it should be (including adding the navigation info to the cluster if you'd like)

Here are some pictures of the new applications, while this is a camaro faceplate (and its a defective plate causing the red line) its Garner's silver box thats being displayed.

Sorry photo bucket is jacked up so thats how I have to host them :(

Nice Chris! I'll be sending mine in soon but considering buying a Nav equipped silver box first.

What's the part number or models that had the navigation silver box? If I'm reading it correctly on your website this isn't the existing ppv box but another model's box correct?

Correct! 2014+ Volt, SS and Malibu. Current part number for the 2014 is 84026383.

Great! Thanks for the info. Is the 84026383 more likely to have all the external connectors that are missing on the ppvs?

Quick shout out of thanks to Chris! Awesome work! I bought a used SS radio on ebay and shipped it to him. I also ordered a GPS antenna https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PN41TCY/re ... oding=UTF8 which plugged into the back of the radio. I also purchased a camera https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QBMNVVB/re ... oding=UTF8 and installed it directly above the license plate. Got power off the reverse lamps and ran video feed into radio connector. Installed radio from Chris which was plug and play.

Noticed you used the stock Caprice monitor without swapping it for the SS version. Reason I bring this up is that on the SS radio some buttons have reassigned functions - which now have functions relative to the NAV system instead of their original use. Any difficulties experienced there? Guess you can either remember which button does what or just re-label them to save the cost of buying a replacement screen/control set?

Thanks
Eric

The radio is from a 17 SS. All the controls on the radio, dash, and steering wheel function as they are labeled. I haven't noticed anything off or incorrect.

In clarification this is what I am talking about. This is a SS Sedan Nav radio front, notice 3 of the right side control buttons are labeled differently from the ones on your radio.

So... if you didn't swap the front Caprice screen & controls with the SS screen & controls but just forklifted the silver box, do your Caprice radio buttons still contain the same functions as they did with the non-nav radio or are they now different based on the config of the SS silver box that now resides in your car? I'm getting ready to do the exact same mod so that's why I'm asking. Specifically the "Nav" "Dest" and "RPT" buttons are added with the NAV radio, and the "Config" "Tone" and "> II" buttons are gone.

Oh, also where did you put the GPS antenna? And did you install the XM antenna as well? Also do you find yourself missing the CD player much since it's a 2017 radio?

Thanks
Eric
