Leaking evaporator?

Post by andrewL »

So I bought my car from a dealer that recharged the a/c in order to make it easy to sell and after 2 weeks my a/c is already out. I recharged it and shot it with some dye and I couldn't see really anything leaking from the top but once I crawled under The car I saw a lot of the dye coming out of that drainage hole. It's been awhile but that would usually mean you have a leaking evaporator correct? And anyone know where I can get one besides the dealer?

See what 800-radiator has. They usually got some good prices. And I see on the GM sites the evaporator is discontinued and it looks like it is only available as an entire HVAC unit.

The one from 800 might be an aftermarket one but they are getting pretty good these days.
