Havis console - ham radios - installed

While it is not quite as fancy as Big_Greek's, it does the job, and I am happy so far.

This is a Havis console in a 2014. I have a Uniden 536, Yaesu ft-8800, CS-800 DMR UHF radio. Cup holders, USB port to the stock radio, plus two USB charging ports and 2 cig lighter sockets. And swivel arm rest. A small switch controls the amber hide-a-ways in the headlights and the rear stock stop/backup flash.

Two way radio bodies are in the trunk, tied to one of the 30 amp relays triggered by ignition on. I have three antennas, using the holes that were already there. Not exactly optimal placement, but it was better than drilling new ones.

I have added the microphone holders since this photo was taken.

I still need to make a few tweaks, but its working well.

Love your set up... have not looked at Big Greekā€™s yet.

One reason I purchased a retired PPV is for this very reason. Got any photos of antenna placements?

Thanks...

Thanks. I just decided to use the holes that were already in the car. Not optimal, but ok. There were two holes in the centerline of the roof, just ahead of the AM/FM antenna. I have a monoband UHF NMO mounted in the first hole, and an NMO scanner antenna mounted just ahead of that.

There was also a hole in the center of the trunk lid, so that has a VHF whip mounted on an NMO. Will post pics when I can.
