2013 Caprice wrecked - salvage auction - Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Post by elc32955 »

Auction closes Sept. 22, $25 starting bid, right now zero bidders. This car's been stripped somewhat from the pics, but plenty of useable components still on it. 9C1 car. Rene Bates auctioneers is selling it for City of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Whoever wrote the ad was funny..... "Was running until taken out of service"... lol!! Here's the linky...

Yeah, so I apparently don't know how Rene Bates site works...I outbid myself and it's not like a proxy bid...it took my higher bid. Oh well. I still won! Now to pay and handle the pickup.

Wow, that has to be a site record - $125 for a 2013 Caprice! (Yeah... I know, but it still sounds good!)

Better bring a flatbed for this one..... BTW, are you ANY closer to getting your other one running?

A little closer. The LSA is "in" the car but may need to come back out. I need to see if the oil pans are different and I'm trying to figure out the motor mounts, exhaust and intercooler solution.

Eric, is it alright if I turn this into a part-out thread or should I start my own?

I think I will have to keep that as a spare considering my car only has 708 miles on it they're bound to get loose once my LSA is running.
