Statesman interior for sale

Post by yargnits »

While in Sydney last week I made a connection with a guy named Mark. I wanted to buy his complete interior, but it’s not going to work out for me. He wants 2200 Aussie-bucks, OBO. I have everything for sale. His car had less than 20k when rear quarter damage totaled the car.

Included are F / R seats , door panels , carpet , hood liner and never used head phones for the headrest monitors. The headliner isn’t of much use because his car has a sunroof.

He’s willing to pack it up and ship it, but the company he found wants as much as he wants for the interior. I was delusional thinking it’d be reasonable and backed out of the deal.

I told him I’d let you guys know and that you might have a cheaper way of getting the parts. He’s also willing to sell other parts from the car. I’ll post a couple photos that he sent me and contact him directly in interested.

His email is the hot version of daddsy50 @ coldmail.com (swap hot for cold)

Have you looked into a dedicated shipper? I used Cheetah Exports out of Indianapolis. He's an Aussie who runs containers back and forth from here to Oz. Might be worth looking into. I know yours will be a much bigger shipment, but I shipped a set of wheels through them with no issues.

Good luck

How much did a set of wheels cost? It still might be out of my budget.

The wheels were boxed individually. Was roughly $60 for wheel company to ship to overseas shipper. $140 from shipper's warehouse in Oz to their warehouse in Indianapolis. Fedex was another $110 from there to Boston area. I'm sure it'll be pricey, but might be doable. Worth looking tinto anyway.

Since I live in Indiana, I’d just drive to Indy and pick it up. Thanks. I’ll see what they say.
