2014 Caprice in NJ

Post by NJ 9C3 »

6.0L V8 2014 Caprice appears to be in pretty good shape. Mileage is a little high for a 2014. Doesn't appear to be any holes in it. Maybe this will help someone out. Haven't seen too many 2014s out, but must say, I really prefer the pre 2014 interior better.

That car took a pretty hard hit. Defnitely had frame damage based on the way the rear driver side tire is toed in. Pictures from copart can be seen here. http://www.copart.com/us/Lot/18837505" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I was bidding until the seller created a fake account and placed a 30k bid....then cancelled the bid. By doing this he was able to see everyone's maxbid. It might be a clear title (self insured municipality?) , but not disclosing damage when it is that bad is not cool. IfMight be the right car for someone, but buyer beware.

Are you sure that's the same car? It looks like the odometer noted in the ad you posted had 88XX miles on it, while the one the OP posted, which should be a later posting, shows 87XX miles on the clock. I didn't see a VIN in your posting, but I didn't spend a ton of time looking around.

Mileage on vehicle pictures at Copart was 8893. Mileage in eBay pictures is 8765 (shouldn't be less if your findings are true). I'm not convinced it's the same car without VIN verification.

(EDIT: jinx with post above, we must have been typing at same time).

Either way, I have no patience for sellers who have multiple accounts to run bids up. I've caught sellers in this behavior before.

So again, let the buyer beware of truths and untruths.

Oh, definitely. If a seller is willing to do that, and given that it's a used car dealership, which lowers the level of trust to begin with, one never knows exactly where this seller is willing to stop. This is probably a car that you don't want to put money on until you've physically seen it.

New member here. Here's your VIN verification.

I don't know how to explain the mileage discrepancy. Is it possible that the instrument cluster was replaced during the repairs?

Sorry, didn't realize the copart link I posted did not have the vin. But it looks like another member here posted a link which confirms the VIN.

Agreed, bid what you think it is worth....but check it out before you even send a deposit.
