Online Service Manual

OK so found this on another forum so do not know how long it will stay active but it appears to be a free service at a library that gives access to manufactures service manuals (at least in the case of the Caprice). I checked a few items from the online service manuals my employer pays hundreds a month for and they seem to be identical in content just navigating them is a bit more difficult. I can give some tips in this area if anyone is interested. Only thing it is lacking is updated campaign and TSB info.

EDIT: THey have installed a new Database called Auto Repair Source in there that is very good. Search by a key term say "headlight" and you will get the repair and install procedures, TSB's, labor times, and wiring diagrams.

Here is the instructions to access:

EBSCO Auto Repair Reference Center. You can locate the Auto Repair Source by
going here:

Online Data Bases <-- Updated 5/1/18

Username: springfieldmb
Password: volunteer

Here you will see a photo link for EBSCO Host. Before you click on
this link, please note the username and password. Click the link to
enter the credentials. Once you have logged into EBSCO, scroll down
just a bit to find the Auto Repair Source go ahead and
click the link. There you will be able to select your vehicle and
browse or search for the information.

AutoMate / Auto Repair Source Training:

For Wiring Diagrams and Updated TSB's this link seems to have the goods:
EDIT: They now require you to submit info to get a link to the wiring diagrams. Good to have as a backup but use the above service while it is active much easier to search and find stuff

Recently got an email from these guys and they have password protected the database but they seem to give out one of the workers person email and password!! LOL very secure:

This seems to cover the bulletins, and possibly wiring: http://newcaprice.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... e9a#p12180" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Updated today with a new site. Probably wont last long after all the traffic goes to through the site. Found on the SS forum. New link and password in first message.

Just revisited this site (from the first post) and found the password was still working. I go in and look at the listing of data bases and I do not see the Automotive one any more. Damn they scraped it I thought. THen I see this one called "Auto Repair Source" go into it and man I hit the mother load!!

Service manual, wiring diagram, labor times, TSB's all in one place and all searchable from one box. THis is what my employer pays upwards of $150 a month for. Amazing.. If this goes away see if your own local library is giving this away.

Bad and good news. Database above has changed it's password (was a good run for a few years). If your local library has the same service and offers up a password please post.

But did find another source for info. It's from Chilton and does have wiring diagram and pinouts. Just a bit clunky in finding stuff but it is all in there: Chilton Online Manual
No username but password was: patriot

From the site: https://www.salempl.org/services/onlineresources/
Look under AUTOMOTIVE tab

An alternative Chilton site:
