So I'm looking at a 2013 PPV, 100,000miles. Car is clean, goes pretty good. Needs tires, and a rear seat. And the hood latch seems to be acting up. But I have a chance to get it whole sale around $8000 + fees. NADA says around $6000 average trade in. I'm sure they don't have a lot in it.
Its had some paint work, 2 accidents, minor. Repairs done very nicely.
I's like some input. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, But I'm close. I'd really like to find one before winter sets in.
Thanks

Don't think you could do much better in the open market. As long as the engine ain't ticking I say get it!!

Re: thoughts on a 2013
v8 or v6?
Not sure what the difference in v8 vs v6 resale values are as evidently the cars were marketed at the same price originally to law enforcement with either engine option.

Re: thoughts on a 2013
Worst come to worst if you need a rear seat set I have one in my shed that's in excellent condition, it was my stock seat before I swapped to a G8 GT set. That'd be the preferred route to go, find a salvage yard G8 GT and get the back seat out of it. You get the desk and cup holders that way since the Caprice stock seat is one piece all the way across - no trunk passthrough.

Thank you. I was looking today and found a wrecked G8 with leather. May be worth a trip after I actually see if I can get the car.
