End of the PPV?

Post by Towcutter »

Internal memo from Chevy, a friend sent me:

Caprice PPV Order Cutoff

To: All US GM Dealers
From: US – General Motors Fleet
Date: January 5, 2017

Order Cutoff: 2017 Chevrolet Caprice PPV – February 23, 2017
Model 1EW19 with 9C1

Order cutoff is Thursday, February 23, 2017 for the Chevrolet Caprice PPV. If order demand is strong the order cutoff will be accelerated if the available schedule becomes full.

Chevrolet Caprice PPV production will end with the 2017 model year.

As a reminder the only engine available for ordering is the 6.0L V8 SFI (L77). The 3.6L SIDI DOHC V6 VVT engine (LFX) was previously cutoff for ordering.

Please contact the GM Fleet Action Center (800-FLEETOP / 800-353-3867) with any questions.

Guess we better start buying up wrecked ones for parts. That really sucks.

Will they still be built buy holden? or is holden finished also?

So.... since this is the Caprice order cut-off date I wonder what's going to happen with SS production deadlines as both cars run down the same line. I'd be very interested to see if the SS order cutoff has been announced yet.

Looks like we're finally on deathwatch folks.

Yea I saw this one coming after I bought mine. Holden is ceasing Australian production and moving to another continent. If someone knows where, chime in.
