V6 Caprice
V6 Caprice
Does anyone on here have a V6 Caprice? How does it run and drive compared to the V8?
Re: V6 Caprice
never drove a v-8 my v-6 is plenty powerfull
Re: V6 Caprice
I test drove a 2015 V6 Caprice yesterday. It has decent power. It does not smash you in the seat like the V8 but it had plenty of power. The steering felt lighter.I wonder if that is because of the electric power steering. The only thing that worries me is the resale value.Does anyone on here have a V6?

I have a V6 2012. I like it. It has good power and it gets up and goes. The fuel economy is good in as well. I am getting about 21 mpg in the city, that's with stop an go traffic. Mind you my Caprice has 200k on the clock. There is plenty of room in the bay to reach and fix things when the time comes to replace said item.

I also have a V6 2014 PPV and I love it. With the variable valve timing it has all the needed torque throughout the throttle range. Considering crown Vics had 250hp in a 4.6 v8 a 3.6 with 300+ feels like a v8 to me.

I just bought a 13 V6 with 102k. Haven’t driven it yet, runs good. Just had new inspection done.

Re: V6 Caprice
I have driven numerous vehicles with the 3.6L and I think its a very impressive power plant. In the caprice it is about on par or better than the bench mark LT1 9C1s. My Caprice has the V8 but if I had the money, I would have bought a second one with a V6 for a DD, commuter car. The dealership I bought mine from had like 55 V6 Caprice cars on their lot compared to two V8 cars in which one, I bought.

I bought mine, it was cheap. 5k, going to use it for FD and no worry about it getting scratched or beat up.
