Getting rid of old suspension parts

Post by yargnits »

Since dropping the 9C3 I’ve been looking at the stock struts and springs in my garage. Very little miles on them, but from the super stiff ‘11 year. What should I do with them? Throw them in the land fill? Donated them to a local junkyard (if they even take stuff) or try selling them? Opinions appreciated.

Idk why everyone hates on the 2011 struts. I think mine rides great. Was stiff as hell with stock springs. On SS 2017 springs rides great.

I just post that kind of stuff up for enough bucks to pay for my boxing and shipping time. $20 plus shipping?

I’m about to recycle my stock springs since I can’t see anyone wanting them and I don’t like when things go to a landfill for no reason.

When I wrote about changing springs I was convinced to lose at least the front struts. The fact that you can’t buy that part number backed up the idea that they weren’t the best.

I’ll try eBaying it and it does sell I’ll drop it off at a wrecker.
