Just received my Carplay/ Android auto kit. Gonna start tearing it apart today. Switching cubby to the doored version. some new trims. Cant wait to get it working.
Nate, I have that dipstick for the trans..... I give up. tried installing it during Cam swap no luck. tried again installing during converter swap still no luck. I don't see how guys are getting them in without dropping the cradle. it just so damn tight. maybe the 2011 harness is different??? but the harness and tube are both trying to live in the same spot.

IMO unless you are installing headers and put the dipstick in BEFORE putting the headers in, GOOD LUCK.

I have the same one sitting on my shelf. Took one look at it and immediately knew there was probably no way. Then I went ahead and did headers and forgot to install it

lastcall no interference with exhaust problem for me was the floor trans and wiring harness. there just wasn't enough room for it all. even with the heads off. tried again with no header and trans out. I don't understand why mine wont fit but others say no problem.

Well I finally got around to installing the dipstick and I uninstalled it as soon as I was done. Talk about a piece of shit. Maybe if you removed the transmission harness and completely re routed it it would be okay but I wasn't comfortable with how much it was pulling on the harness. And it hit the #8 spark plug boot so to get the dipstick out you had to remove the plug wire. I did remove my AEM urgo wideband and replace it with a ballenger afr500 while I was working on it today.

I changed out my disintegrating rubber antenna hole plugs fire these. Hopefully it stops the leaks.
I wasn’t sure what white paint I needed to match, but it is not Duplicolor Universal White. Still looks a lot better than the rubber I think. Set in white polyurethane caulk.

Today I replaced the front sway bar bushings.
Used some universal Energy Suspension bushings.
No more rattle like the car is about to fall apart!

They don’t have a part number for a Caprice or even a G8, but those are for a 24mm sway bar with slotted bolt holes and they worked great.
About $22.
