kinda dont blame GM , but its also the same reason i hate other companies being here in the US , majority of profits go back the HQ

im not sure about AU , but i know the US back down on the import taxes for import companies to produce vehicles here

One thing mentioned was the vehicle's costs and the high AU$. I know for a fact that one reason the RCMP in Canada did not buy into the Caprice was the exorbitant high purchase cost. Once you added in the shipping, duties and the exchange rate, they were not viable here. G8's were the same and why they are fairly rare here, the only Holden built vehicle officially sold in Canada.
