New guy

Post by Gluefactory »

Looking at a 12 or 13 in the next week or two. Feels like I've read 3/4 of the site trying to figure out what, if any, differences between the two there are.

But, since the instructions say "introduce yourself," I am.

Hi. :)

Welcome to the group! With the 2011, 12 and 13 model years staying basically the same body and interior-wise. (the 9C1 versus 9C3 interiors were different). There are some electronic programming upgrades through the years. 2014 saw a dash upgrade a "column shifter" and the deletion of the 9C3 option.
Others in the group can offer other insights also.

Regards,

Maurice

So far it appears the biggest difference is the shitty 2-speaker stereo in the 13.

That alone would make me pick the 12 if both were stock

i think that is the same as the 14-17 its the door panels , they are puke proof ! meaning no holes for sound to travel through

Guess that part makes sense.

Doesn't explain the gimped head unit though.

Y'all got a guy who unlocks them, not worried about that part.

Was reading the other night that they removed the rear channels/connectors from the head unit.

Good music is almost enough to make me pass on one with headers/cam/tune.
