Garrett's 2012 Caprice 9C1

Post by garrett »

Bought the car about 6 months ago and I am very happy with it so far. After a couple months I put the H&R 50750's on it (swapped onto stock shocks). I'm currently running a square wheel/tire setup: Cosmis Racing R1 in 18x9.5 et35 with a 235/50/18 (stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A police spec). Next up I want to get a tune, I may buy the HP tuner and do it myself.

Simply amazing that something as simple as a new set of wheels totally changes the look of the car. Very nice.

Lowering these cars has a bigger effect than anything else.

Like I said in OP: H&R 50750 lowering springs for a G8, swapped into stock shocks. $230 shipped from Tire Rack.

Any special mods to the suspension change or bolt right on?

Nope, just pulled each strut off and swapped the springs. One of the easier strut removals I've done on any car; the whole process took about 3 hours start to finish.
