JBA Headers

Post by Groundczero »

I found these headers for the Chevy SS and wondering if these are the ones people have used on the Caprice how are they compared to the Kooks?

I bought a set from JBA, which came with the cats, as well as their axle backs (mufflers). I originally wanted to get their full cat-back system but JBA had issues getting them from their factory in Mexico so settled for the axle back and will get the rest fabbed. I also have to get the tips extended.

I haven't been able to install them yet but they look well built and have nice welds. If you want a full system, check with JBA directly as sellers like Summit as just drop shippers and don't carry stock.

Thank you for the input, I am looking to just get the headers and fab the rest, either going 2.5 or 3 inches since looking to add a blower in the future.

Did these ss headers end up working for you? Little to no custom fitting and how does it sound?

Headers themselves should bolt right up. Midpipes might be a little different (potentially some added length under the car to accommodate the PPV length), and axle back connections if using stock mufflers or a PPV specific axle back will probably be different.

I still haven't installed them but they are supposed to be a direct bolt-in as the SS and Caprice as essentially the same.

Finally getting the rest of the parts collected decided to go with 2.5 instead of 3 for ground clearance and that this is a DD so we will see. Hope to get this done after the 4th.
