Was pretty easy just baked the head lights in the oven and separated them. And then revealed themLord Vader wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 6:50 pm I am very interested in how you swapped the headlight lenses.

Re: Starting out
Started working on the headliner today. Got a quote a few days ago for retinting the windows. These little guys were a big price increase cause of the labor to remove them before tinting. So I said screw it I'll chrome delete and vinyl over the window since you can't see out of it anyways.

Re: Starting out
Do you mind describing your process a bit? What temps and for how long to bake? I’m trying this right now and the black plastic casing is deforming as I’m prying the seam apart but the adhesive doesn’t seem to be letting loose.Scrammbledeggs wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 11:10 pmWas pretty easy just baked the head lights in the oven and separated them. Thanks!
Re: Starting out
So I finally got them separated. I started with 200 degrees but increased to 250 degrees for a few rounds each. Working a flathead screw driver around the perimeter to get it started, back in the oven for 10 minutes, then working the adhesive more until it loosened up.
It helps having a few plastic pry tools and the screw driver but you have to be very patient. I could see this process resulting in broken tabs or cracked lense.

Extreme patients. Apparently they glue these together way better than any other manufacturer
