Re: Short term fix for bad lifter?

I really enjoy the TSP stage 1 cam, works well with the stock converter but I did have to drop the idle down to 700rpm to keep it from pushing at a stop in drive.

Re: 2014 9C1 Daily Driver

Took me a bit to pull everything together but I finally have an update for the car. Found the cause of the oil starvation, oil pickup to pump O-ring was squashed between the flanges, not in its boss. Pickup bolt was in the bottom of the pan. I did not install the cam but obviously this happened duri...

Re: Hello everyone, hopeful owner checking in

JoeR is right about prioritizing the condition of the car over year.

Personally, all other things being equal I far prefer the 2014+ interior, but prefer the floor shifter from the 11-13 cars.

Me too, I've had the ZL1 steering wheel for a year and just haven't had the motivation to pull the dash apart again.

Re: 2014 WN A/C compressor not cycling

Not likely your issue but I thought I'd throw it out there for informational purposes.

On my 2014 the ambient temp sensor was acting up and reading very low temps 10F to -40F, this disabled the A/C compressor.

Re: Hello from Illinois - Wheel and tire advice

Did you get a full set of rears? The camaro 5 spokes are what I run, the fronts are narrower than the rear. I had 255/35/20 for a while on all 4, was a bit of a stretch on the rears and not enough tire on the rear for me. Went to 245/40r20 up front 275/35r20 rear, I have been happy with the result. ...

Re: L77 and L96 cam

I was wrong about the cam for sure, they have an oil channel that regular cams don't have and will cause oiling issues, along with what mooseman said about the lobe profile.

Re: 3:27 Chevy SS Diff' vs. 3:45 Camaro

I think its mostly an availability thing elc,

From what I can gather the SS camaro with a manual got the 3.45 but all the autos got 3.27s. At least in my searching, 3.27s are much easier to find and usually cheaper.

Re: L77 and L96 cam

The cam doesn't really have anything to do with the AFM.

Swap lifters, valley cover plate/block off ports, tune. DOD deleted.

Re: Cylinder 8 misfiring. Tried everything, any advice?

I would start by pulling live data. If the misfire is consistently occurring at idle, it would be time to recheck the work of others. If the misfire is occurring around DOD events, lifters and actuators would be suspect. A PCM issue is not entirely impossible, but very unlikely, live data should be ...
