2011-14 Manual Swap Topics: Wiring, Tuning, and Misc.
Hi all! I just wanted to share some information from my manual conversion that isn't as easy to find online as parts list and whatnot about the manual swap. All opinions to follow are just that . This is the process that worked for me, so hopefully it can help get you in the right direction. I curre...

Re: 2013 TR6060 Swap in Progress: Shifter Location Issue
Thanks Maurice. This one is a little different being that they used a sequential shifter in a 14-17 chassis. However, I think I determined what I want to do with this shifter. I was able to 3D print prototypes of shorter arms for the MGW shifter to see what length should be perfect for the spacing. ...

2013 TR6060 Swap in Progress: Shifter Location Issue
Hi all. I'm hoping to get some insight from some of the guys that have done a manual swap in their 2011-13 cars. I've tried researching caprice and G8 swaps, but I'm not finding a lot of information on shifter placement. A lot of people don't appear to have my same issue, but it's hard to be certain...

Thanks for sharing your story as well. Fortunately I was able to get a 6.2 and decided to forge it. It's been living with an LSA blower for some time now.
I had to forego the turbo plans due to the failure, but it's been doing well since (knock on wood).

Re: G8 Leather Front Seats
Depending the route you want to go, you'll need to make a "hybrid" seat from the PPV frame and accessories (air bags, slider, etc.). I did it in my 2012, but can't remember exactly what went into the process. I do remember that each seat had to be taken down to it's frame basically.

Bill, you don't happen to have one more set available, do you? I was thinking about ordering a set of the black brembos.

Re: SAD DAY! Hydrolock on fuel = One broken rod (at least)
Just to give those who care an update, the car is running again. The new motor is doing fine so far. I'm currently working to finish up some loose ends and then take the car for a full road test. The hold up currently is the rebuilt transmission. I need to get it up to temp to get a relearn complete...

Re: SAD DAY! Hydrolock on fuel = One broken rod (at least)
What did you do with your old block? I'd be curious to know if it could be Darton Sleeved to repair the damage to the bottom of the cylinder wall. I've been toying with the idea of building a modern Oldsmobile 403 which came in my '79 Trans Am with a Darton sleeved LS motor, so many people knock th...
