Re: Help! Can't spin tires!

RE not being able to completely turn off traction control on the 2011- on mine with "traction off" it will fry the tires if I want to. The stability system only seems to intervien if the car is sliding sideways. (No drifting allowed!!) So I'm thinking it's something in your tune set too co...

It's not cooled by air- the cooler has engine coolant circulated through it.

Re: Power Window issue

Some have wires separating inside the insulation causing an intermittent connection. Check inside or near the boot at the door hinge area. (Where it bends and pulls every time the door opens and closes) Lightly tug on each of the wires- if one feels "stretchy" it's broke inside the insulat...

Re: SS Sedan Springs under the 2011 Caprice PPV

There's still rear springs available, and I'd see no reason why you can't use 2016 springs for the front. Well that's good to know I'm replacing the struts and was planning on reusing the OEM springs. The rear is done, I used the Monroe replacement for the back - they're stamped "made in Austr...

Re: SS Sedan Springs under the 2011 Caprice PPV

There may not be a choice NOT to swap over to the SS springs- the Caprice springs show "Discontinued"

Re: 3.45 Differential install

Finally have some time to work on the car. The driveshaft to rear end connection is the rubber fiber flex disc. Where the bolts go through the disc there are steel sleeves. The sleeves extend out from the disc and fit into recesses in the rear end yoke. The recesses in the rear end yoke on the Camar...

Re: Posi Mod

I removed the Caprice Diff and pulled it apart to have a look. It's appears that there are no interchangeable parts with the Camaro diff. The Camaro differential case is looks stronger, but I think the Caprice housing design is better- the housing comes apart into two halves that clamp the different...

Re: Cams finally installed, and the car won't crank

I'm trying to retrace the steps when I did mine for things to recheck. There was a large connector that went into a box just rear of the passenger headlight. There was also a small single wire computer ground connection (that I broke the eyelet off) on the rear of the drivers cylinder head.
