Re: Trouble shooting misfire

The engine has both types of lifters depending on where they are located. It would be a lot of work to only change 1 lifter. You have to remove the cylinder heads to get at the lifters + you need gaskets and bolts. I would disassemble to evaluate the condition of the camshaft and then make a decision

Re: Posi Mod

I got the thing apart. 1st had to make up one of these housing spreaders. Once the diff case is out of the housing, the case has to be taken apart to get at the clutches. The case half bolts are E18 that have a shallow head. My E18 socket had an internal taper where the splines diddn't fully start u...

Re: Those with Remote Start

To add another thought to my previous post about why this might be is that a few times I was able to open the driver's door from the outside after locking the car w/ the remote (and subsequently causing the alarm to go off). Re: airbag sensor location

My air bag warning would come on and off intermittently on the highway too. Same drive cycle - audible "ding, ding" air bag icon on display , then all good- icon off and all normal, then a min or so later and same thing again, . Had a friend w/ Snap on scanner look at it, was code for pass...

Re: Posi Mod

The Camaro Central kit arrived- Has 6 side gear steels, 8 case steels, an assortment of clutch pre load shims .035 to .010, and a pre load "S" spring. They have a waffle pattern texture on both sides of the steel- no fiber. It will be a while before I can get to the install.. I'll post how...
