Re: Fuel tank fills halfway...

I would pull up the seat and remove the cover and tank a look around with a mirror and bright light to see if they managed to kink a hose, which may be causing the filling problem. They may have left/knocked off a hose causing the smell. Once someone has started modifying things, all bets are off as...

Re: Fuel tank fills halfway...

Did they remove the tank to install the pump or did they do the quick way and cut a hole in the floor board? What year car do you have? If I remember correctly, you may have to pull the rear cradle to get the charcoal canister out, which also had to been done to remove the fuel tank.

Re: 2014 CHEVY CAPRICE PPV AIR CONDITIONER NOT COLD

I just picked up a new GM compressor ($480) expansion valve a desiccant sock, O-rings. Pressure gauges tell me my compressor us tired after 97K on the clock. I'm gonna try to replace these components myself with the help of my retired mechanic who's back is to messed up but has the vacuum pump and ...

Re: Disabling Stabilitrak

I didn't have to pull a fuse, just hold the traction control button down for at least 5 seconds and it all turns off :D and its time to send those rear tires to Hell lol. But if you don't want to go sideways and out of control in a high speed turn than let the computer get you around that curve. On...

Re: Interior rear door panel interchange

A 2012 panel should fit the 2013. The 2013 9C3 has a door panel with a speaker grill that looks identical to the 11 and 12’s.

Re: Hello Folks

I have had three cars totaled by other drivers over the last 15 years. I kept the cars and repaired them for daily beaters and they still had clear titles, not salvage titles If it were me, I would sell the wheels and use the money to buy some front end parts. If there is no structural stuff bent, y...

Re: Parting out 2013 PPV 9C1

The rear quarter glass assembly is held in with several bolts accessible from inside the car. You have to remove some inside trim, which is not to difficult. The quarter glass are kind of a hot commodity around here.

Re: Parting out 2013 PPV 9C1

The chrome is part of the quarter window assemble and is not sold separately by GM. It seems like loosing the chrome piece is common problem. Just a wild guess, but I would gamble the drive through car was is a contribution factor, since most of the cars were probably never hand washed.

Re: Hello Folks

If you can keep it for a couple of grand, I would keep it and repair it with used parts if there is no structural stuff bent. Or you can use it a parts car as long as you buy another car of the same year.

Re: Rear Rotor Replacement

Does the rotor move any at all or is rusted to the hub. If it is stuck the the hub, I have good luck by lightly tapping the rotor between the studs with a ball peen. When the tone changes, you know that the hub and rotor have broken free. If the car is from an area that salts the roads, the drum par...
