P219A code

Post by mikem85 »

My car is throwing this P219A code, bank one is too rich. Doesn't seem to affect the car much other than an erratic idle, especially when it's cold. What are the common causes of this code in our cars? It has 110K on it, plugs are fairly new. Coil? Wire? Fuel injector?

I'm thinking it is an injector going bad, how do I figure out which one it is?

I'm not sure what your code is about but if you want to clean your own injectors, there's a vid out there from LegitStreetCars about cleaning/testing injectors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V8CLDNi7WA

You may know but this guy also did a series of videos on a Caprice (DOD delete, exhaust, tune): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p6bqOSkdo0&t=1072s. Good watch.

This code just came on in my car :(

Most common fix I can find for these is faulty fuel injectors, My question is what are our stock injectors? 42# and can I run a bigger injector now without messing anything up? Does it require a retune or can I just select the size in HP tuners and it'll compensate?

I wonder if I could install something like these as a way to maybe fix my current code as well as prepare for any fueling goals I'll have in the future
