Supercharged LFX Caprice-am I the first one?

This has been an idea floating around my head since 2019. I see alot of V6 Camaros with supercharger kits so I got to planning how I could adapt a Overkill stage 1 supercharger kit for the LFX Camaro to work on a LFX Caprice. I have not found one person that has done it and I enjoy thinking outside the box. After getting the parts in 2020 and having them collect dust for 2 years I decided to have a shop in Antioch, IL see if they could do the install. I originally planned on installing the kit myself but after having 2 daughters (ages 2 and 4) I quickly realized I'm better off having a performance shop do the work. It has finally come together! Everything is finished as of today and they are just finishing some tuning revisions with Will at Overkill Motorsports. Here are some pictures.

WHOA!

Dyno results or it's made out of styrofoam!

Looks good, DEFINITELY want to know how this shakes out!

Thanks

I like the concept! What did you do for the exhaust? I know that the exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters are combined. Did you figure something out?

Well that's something you don't see every day! Please give that thing a ton of boost and post lots of burnout vids! Do the V6 cars have the same fuel pump as the 6.0s?

Now... next up, 6-speed conversion perhaps? Plenty of trannies & parts down under in the salvage yards. Talk about a truly unique car you'd have for sure!

It's got the OEM exhaust on it. I didn't have to mess with anything exhaust wise. It's a supercharger, if it were a turbo I would have to mess with exhaust.

Damn, you caught me! "Hide all the Styrofoam guys." haha. I just got the car back on Saturday and haven't dyno'ed it yet. It's a procharger so once you start winding it out, and the RPMS get up there, hold on...Seat pinning in progress!

I get the turbo exhaust versus pro-charger. I was hoping for better flowing exhaust. I think you would be the first on the exhaust upgrade. I definitely am impressed with this application. Can't wait to see the dyno numbers!

You might throw some V8 factory mufflers on it if you want to help it breath. The pipe at the muffler is necked down on the V-6 mufflers when compared to the V-8 muffler.
