Is this the front crossmember?

Post by HoldOn SV » Fri Oct 01, 2021 10:49 pm

At the bottom with rust visible: Is this the front cross member/engine cradle? ? It looks different (much larger) than what is listed for sale. The picture from GM Wholesale Direct doesn't show any of the front of it in their diagram (see link below picture). Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Yes, that is the engine cradle. The link you have is correct.

Thanks for your reply! I applied a scuff and spray during the interim for replacement. Cheers. 8-)

$40 at Harbor Freight http://wolo-usa.com/419-big2.jpg and here's how it's supposed to sound. WARNING: the audio clip at the link below is a very annoying 7 seconds long (get ready to pause).

Incidentally, the pitch has always been somewhat lower (and preferably better) for me. I've been hesitant to post a clip of it, because people get pissed when it doesn't sound exactly the same on their vehicle (even if it's not a PPV).
