You pull the IPC, hook up the chip reader, make two changes to the data, and reinstall it. It took me about an hour to do it all.

Buy the chip reader here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R5 ... =UTF8&th=1
Download the software and drivers: https://auto-download.com/download/get/ ... c_rar.html
Remove IPC: viewtopic.php?t=1588#p14193
Follow the instructions on the PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oXRN7L ... sp=sharing

Ok so i followed the instructions bit by bit, but when I plugged it back the dlc and backlight didnt work and the gauges went nurts. I even rewrote back the original file with no luck. I am not sure what i did wrong but any thoughts would be much appreciated as this my daily and now iam stuck with a gutted dash.

That happened to me too. I didn't select the correct chip type when I read it initially. That scrambled the file and the EEPROM programming. I could send you my file if you want and you could try putting your VIN in and writing it back to your cluster.

I spent a few hours doing this on my 2014 cluster and looking through all the options. Trans temp was there, but I never found oil pressure or temperature which was disappointing. If anyone knows, pm me, and Ill add it. I found lots of stuff related to diesel and electric cars, alternative consolidated economy menus, and random features. I made a copy of MNP's spreadsheet and added to it. I bolded the things I think are useful for most people, but feel free to experiment with everything I found on the spreadsheet. My .bin files are included, but I don't know if they would be useful for anyone except me. Try them only if you're already screwed I guess.

Thanks for taking the time to go through the cluster and detail the rest of the programmed pages. It'd be interesting to see what you come up with if you had a SS cluster on the bench! Figured there was bound to be more hidden in programming than met the eye!

on the standard 14-17 cluster oil life, and pressure can be added in as well as gear display for those who have it enabled with HP Tuners. I am still trying to work out locations in the EEPROM for this, and they will be posted here when found.

Grifbomb was able to work out those locations and the guides have been combined into one. The cluster eeprom is about fully mapped now.
