Fat Blue Line?

Post by Z09SS »

I just replaced the plastic trim on the outside of my driver's seat, the part that holds the switches for the tilt and recline.

It was broken in many places, but the shocking thing was the deformation of the steel seat pan the tabs on the trim piece slot into.

It makes me wonder how wide the officer assigned my car was because my chubby butt doesn't intrude on that part in the least.

It could be the equipment they wore. Radio, baton, holster, taser, etc. My baton would sometimes hit the side of the seat and jab me in the ribs. The radio often hit the seat's side panel. And this was mostly in Tahoes. I absolutely hated the Ferds, both the Taurus and Exploders.

Never had a Caprice as a patrol vehicle but it would have been fun!

Maybe they stood on the seat edge? To reach something? I've been guilty of that.
