VCM OTR KVE-900 on at 2013

Hello all, just recently got the VCM OTR KVE-900, said it fits the 2013 caprice. Just spent all day trying to install this thing and it sticks up on the driver side from what I think is that bracket in the photo I attached. I cut little slits in the intake near the bracket, is it just worth cutting a chuck out of that section to make it fit? Seriously confused since plenty of sources I’ve seen said the KVE fits 2013. None of the side panels fit for some reason either unless I really man handle it and probably break it. I got the middle and other clip in but I couldn’t get the driver side one in.

The KVE should fit the 2011-2013 models, the KVF for the 14-17.

As I have found on two of the three caprices in the family, the front crash bar and radiator support gets replaced along with other components in the front end, and different year parts have been used.

My 2014 has a 2013 radiator support and my dads 2013 has a 14+ radiator support, required a bit of modification to get the VCM OTR to fit on both. You might have a Frankenstein like us.

The infill panels not fitting makes me think you got a KVF kit though, because the fuse box and other stuff is shaped very differently between the two model year breaks.

that bracket is for the trans oil cooler , and 12-17 caprices , 14-17 SS sedans , all use the same parts

the 11 caprice uses the same trans cooler the G8 GXP used

ive never seen or heard of any issues with the housing hitting that bracket , the holes i have seen them off some , and i take them being off as assembly variances

you may way to check your front end over and see if its ever been wrecked

Interesting, this car never ceases to surprise me. I ordered off JEGS and it said it was a KVE, the side panels sort of fit but the holes are all off by a little bit. Ended up making the OTR work with some bolts and rubber grommets, but I might just sell off the side panels, not an absolute need for me.

I've taken off the front bumper when I was changing bulbs in my headlights and there was no signs of a wreck in the front frame, nothing was crammed or anything. Might just be the way this car is, maybe mixed parts from 14+.

yeah on the 13's having 14 , or 14ish parts are kinda common , the rear door panels are the more common and they are specific to the 13 but look like the 14's
