305 rear tires or bigger?
Anybody running 305 or 315 rear tires?
Interested in a set of 20in Z28 replica wheels. Looking for an aggressive stance just outside fender in the rear so was considering 10, 10.5, or 11 wide in the back with possibly 305 or 315 wide tires.
My car is not lowered. Looking for input from anybody doing it or seen it done.
Thanks!

we put 305's and 325's on the back of my fathers 2012. Required raising the rear ride height considerably, plus aggressive fender rolling.

Appreciate your response

Re: 305 rear tires or bigger?
Based on my research around 7.1"-7.25" of backspacing is the most common for rear wide tire. Running a 10"-11" wide rim. Maybe up to 7.5"-7.6" of backspacing depending on tire bulge and maybe trimming the inside plastic against the inner body/frame to prevent inside tire rub and tuck it as close as possible to the inside. I would also recommend fender rolling. It is pretty easy to do. A 20x11 +40 would have 7.07" backspacing.

@scrammbledeggs would you mind posting a pic??
I ended up getting 20x9 all the way around bc I couldn't access the forum for a few days and had to make a decision, but i may end up exchanging the rears for 20x10..

Re: 305 rear tires or bigger?
Thanks @scrammbledeggs (and everyone else)
I went ahead and put 20x10 wheels with 305/35/20 tires in the rear of the caprice and I'm happy with the look/stance!
After a bit of driving, only issue I noticed is on big dips on highway at speeds of 60pmh+ I hear occasional scrape/rubbing sound from inside fender. On an even surface, no issues at all. I will end up taking either a hammer or saw to the inside of fender well and I think that should solve my issue. Its really not that bad. Pics below.

Looks familiar nice work man! I used a fender roller on mine to help out.
